Fuji apples are among the most popular apples for eating fresh, but they're also great for baking, as they hold their shape when they cook.

The flesh has a fine texture and does not brown right away when cut, making for a nicer appearance in fruit salads and as a fresh-cut snack.

Paula Red apples are suitable for both eating fresh and cooking, although they become extremely soft when cooked, which suits them to some dishes (applesauce) and not others (pies).
